Global OT & Process Control Architect

About the role

We are looking for a Global OT & Process Control Architect to lead the transformation of the IFF Taste OT landscape into a reliable, cost‑effective, connected, and AI‑ready ecosystem. You will own the standardisation, architecture, and lifecycle management of global process‑control and OT infrastructure (ISA‑95 Levels 1‑2) across all manufacturing sites.

Key responsibilities

• Define and govern vendor‑agnostic global standards, reference architectures and best practices for PLC, HMI, SCADA and DCS systems.
• Establish URS/FRS frameworks to ensure consistent design, vendor engagement and lifecycle management.
• Drive harmonisation of industrial control systems, reducing reliance on proprietary vendor ecosystems.
• Act as technical authority for process control and OT infrastructure, identifying and prioritising modernisation opportunities.
• Support sites during control‑system upgrades, SCADA/historian deployments and network/server modernisation.
• Provide remote assistance for complex troubleshooting, architecture design decisions and validation testing (FAT/SAT).
• Capture lessons learned and continuously refine global standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Automation Engineering, Process Control or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in batch‑process industries such as biotech, food ingredients, specialty chemicals or pharma.
• Strong hands‑on background with PLC/DCS systems, SCADA/HMI platforms and industrial networks.
• Deep knowledge of ISA‑95, ISA‑99 / IEC 62443 and emerging regulations (e.g., NIS2).
