Content Manager

About the role

A partner company is looking for an experienced Content Manager based in Slovenia for a successful software product business. The role takes ownership of content strategy, editorial quality and measurable results, combining AI-assisted creation with hands-on editing and optimization to improve visibility across traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered search platforms. It works closely with leadership, developers and product teams to turn complex technical knowledge into clear, accessible content.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead content direction, setting editorial priorities and choosing topics and formats with the greatest potential value.
• Edit and improve new and existing content for clarity, accuracy, relevance and a consistently high editorial standard.
• Use AI tools to support research, drafting and editing while maintaining quality through strong editorial judgment.
• Lead and support a small team of writers, giving constructive feedback and helping them develop their skills.
• Track content performance and use data to guide improvements.
• Improve visibility through SEO and optimization for AI-powered search, including GEO and AEO strategies.
• Experiment with new topics, formats and approaches, evaluating performance and scaling what works.
• Collaborate with leadership, developers and product teams to translate technical expertise into engaging content.

Required profile

• Several years of experience creating, writing and editing high-quality content, with strong writing skills and editorial judgment.
• Previous experience leading a small team of writers and giving clear, constructive feedback.
• Demonstrated ownership of content performance and the ability to explain how results contributed to business outcomes.
• Experience creating content for software, SaaS or other technical products, able to explain complex concepts simply.
• Confidence working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Hands-on SEO and optimization for AI-driven search, not just management of others.
• Strong practical knowledge of AI writing and editing tools, knowing when human judgment is essential.
