System Engineer – Linux & Networks

About the role

We are seeking a System Engineer with deep expertise in Linux environments and modern networking technologies. The role focuses on managing server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security, and driving automation across our complex IT landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimise Windows and Linux server environments.
• Design, configure and maintain network infrastructure, including VLANs, routing, firewalls and VPNs.
• Ensure system high‑availability, security and performance.
• Participate in solution architecture and the rollout of new technologies.
• Automate processes using scripts, configuration‑management tools and other automation frameworks.
• Resolve complex incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and support DevOps collaboration.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in system administration or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, firewalls, VPN).
• Experience with virtualization and/or container technologies.
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python or similar) and automation tools.
• Familiarity with database systems such as MS SQL, PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Analytical problem‑solving approach, independence and strong teamwork skills.
