Senior Java Software Engineer - Event Ticketing

About the role

Dhimahi, a Slovenian software company with headquarters in Ljubljana and offices in Zagreb and Belgrade, is looking for a Senior Java Software Engineer to work on innovative projects in the event ticketing industry. The role owns the full backend slice of features, from API design through to data persistence.

Key responsibilities

• Build backend features end to end, owning each feature from API design to data persistence
• Design and implement clean, well-structured REST APIs, considering contracts, versioning and long-term maintainability
• Write unit and integration tests for backend APIs and contribute to end-to-end test coverage
• Use AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code as part of the workflow
• Work on features from ideation through release to maintenance and help shape the product roadmap

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar software engineer role
• Strong Java fundamentals and hands-on experience building production services with Spring Boot
• Highly productive, able to break large projects into small, quality deliverables
• Genuine interest in technology and understanding of trade-offs
• Independent and empathetic communicator in English, thriving in a team
