Senior Java Engineer

About the role

HYCU is building a next‑generation SaaS multi‑cloud data protection platform. As a Senior Java Engineer you will design and develop high‑performance backend services that power enterprise‑grade backup, disaster recovery and cyber‑resilience solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable Java‑based backend services and micro‑services.
• Build highly available, resilient distributed systems for the multi‑cloud backup platform.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, QA, DevOps and support teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Write clean, maintainable, well‑tested code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in architecture discussions and influence technical design decisions.
• Optimize performance, scalability, reliability and security of the platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues in cloud environments.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, observability and developer tooling.
• Mentor junior engineers and help foster a strong engineering culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience with strong Java expertise.
• Proven experience building scalable backend services and distributed systems.
