Field Service Engineer (Sabre)

About the role

As a Field Service Engineer at Lam, you will provide on‑site repair, maintenance and installation services for complex semiconductor electro‑mechanical and electronic systems, ensuring operational excellence for customers’ critical equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quality on‑site repair, maintenance, installation and relocation start‑up of Lam’s semiconductor equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues to the component level, taking corrective actions or escalating as needed to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate records and reports to coordinate activities between Lam and customers.
• Serve as a subject‑matter expert, representing Lam and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Communicate opportunities and challenges transparently with customers and provide status updates on Lam tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in electronics/electromechanical service, or an advanced degree without experience.
• Ability to work in clean‑room environments wearing appropriate protective equipment.
• Willingness to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally, and work flexible shifts including overtime and on‑call.
• Graduate‑eligible.

Required skills

• Interpretation of electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams and operation manuals.
• Analytical problem‑solving and component‑level diagnostics.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• English communication (written and verbal).
