Field Process Engineer – Customer Support

About the role

The Field Process Engineer joins Lam Research's Customer Support Business Group to provide expert on‑site assistance for semiconductor equipment. You will work directly with customers to install, qualify, and improve processes, ensuring optimal performance of their critical tools.

Key responsibilities

• Provide process support and install Lam equipment at customer sites.
• Perform Design of Experiments (DOE) to define process windows for new installations or hardware upgrades.
• Develop and adapt processes for small variants of existing customer applications.
• Conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, generate reports, and deliver actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and customers to understand technology roadmaps, process flows, and business challenges.
• Represent Lam to customers, delivering exceptional service and satisfaction.
• Present technical and marketing materials to keep customers informed about products and services.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or related field, or a Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years relevant experience.
• Proficiency with computer applications, including data‑analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and strong customer‑relationship skills.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment, wear appropriate PPE, and be on‑call when needed.
