Field Service Engineer CMM (f/m/d) – Slovenia

About the role

As a Field Service Engineer you will install, calibrate, service and repair Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) at customer sites across Slovenia and neighboring former Yugoslav countries. The role combines hands‑on technical work with frequent customer interaction and a high degree of autonomy.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and calibrate CMM systems at customer locations.
• Perform on‑site service, repair, maintenance and troubleshooting of machines.
• Provide technical support and hands‑on assistance directly at customer sites.
• Train customers on machine operation, basic maintenance and best practices.
• Document and register all work according to company procedures.
• Support aftermarket activities such as spare‑part replacement, hardware maintenance and warranty tasks.
• Comply with company quality standards, safety guidelines and policies.
• Travel autonomously across Slovenia and occasionally to neighboring former Yugoslav countries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 1 year of field‑service or similar technical experience (advantage).
• Experience working with hand tools and mechanical or electrical equipment.
• Ability to work independently with a strong customer‑focused mindset.
• Good communication skills and confidence when interacting with customers.
• Willingness to travel up to 75 % of the time.
• Residence in Slovenia.
• Valid driving licence with active driving experience.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft operating systems.
• English at B1 level and native‑level Slovenian.
