Doctor of Medicine - Functional Medicine (Part-Time)

About the role

Futuristic Life Clinic is a functional medicine-oriented clinic in Ljubljana that uses a personalized, systems-based approach to health, focusing on root causes of disease. It offers intravenous nutrient therapy alongside other integrative treatments. The clinic is looking for a doctor of medicine to provide patient-centered care using functional and holistic approaches, working on assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning. The position is part-time, 20% of full time (one day per week).

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough medical evaluations and review patient histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that may include IV therapies and other integrative modalities.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust therapies as needed.
• Educate patients on lifestyle and preventive strategies.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) and a valid license to practice medicine in Slovenia, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Experience or strong interest in functional, integrative or holistic medicine, including root-cause and systems-oriented approaches.
• Strong communication and counseling skills for educating patients on lifestyle, nutrition and preventive health.
• High ethical standards, commitment to evidence-informed practice and openness to continuous learning.
• Proficiency in the local language.

Required skills

• Patient assessment, diagnosis and individualized treatment planning, including use of laboratory and diagnostic testing.
• Knowledge of, or willingness to train in, IV nutrient therapies, peptides and other complementary modalities.
