Affera Mapping Specialist - Cardiac Ablation

About the role

Medtronic is looking for an Affera Therapy Account Consultant (Affera Mapping Specialist) in Ljubljana to join its growing cardiac ablation business after acquiring the Affera Mapping and Ablation System. The role reports to the operating unit and provides expert clinical and technical support and training to physicians and EP lab staff on the optimal use of the Affera system.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical and technical assistance to physicians and EP lab staff on the Affera system and related equipment (generators, software functions, pumps and accessories)
• Deliver in-service training to introduce new technologies to hospitals and ensure technology acceptance
• Help develop advanced clinical workflows and take part in planning and installing the Affera system with the technical department
• Work with the education team to support the development of training centers
• Share clinical best practices and stay responsive to customers and stakeholders
• Take part in regular territory reviews with the Sales Manager

Required profile

• Bachelor's or engineer's degree in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering or a related scientific discipline
• Clinical electrophysiology experience or experience in the medical device and life sciences industry is highly appreciated
• Ability to work in electrophysiology labs and obtain vendor credentialing
• Fluency in English and Slovenian, and ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Valid driver's license, independence and willingness to travel as required
