Direct Procurement Professional – Hybrid (Slovenia)

About the role

As a Direct Procurement Professional you will manage the end‑to‑end procurement process for selected product groups, ensuring cost‑effective sourcing, high quality, and compliance with company policies. You will collaborate with regional and global procurement teams, R&D, and production plants while supporting sustainability initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sourcing and procurement activities for direct categories such as raw materials and energy.
• Obtain quotations, prepare bid comparisons, and conduct purchasing negotiations.
• Draft contracts and purchase orders, and perform supplier evaluations and performance reviews.
• Develop and implement category strategies to optimise cost, quality and service.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to align procurement with business needs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes, including digital tools and AI applications.
• Travel up to 10 % within Europe as required.

Required profile

• High school graduation or bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience in procurement, preferably in direct categories within a corporate or multinational environment.
• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Fluent English; German proficiency is a plus.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
