Validation Engineer (m/f) – Smart Metering

About the role

We are seeking a Validation Engineer to lead functional testing of metering applications, embedded software, and end‑to‑end solutions for smart electricity and water metering. You will work closely with product teams to ensure high‑quality, reliable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Test and validate individual components and complete smart metering solutions.
• Perform functional testing of software applications related to data collection and metering.
• Analyse requirements, create test plans, procedures and define test setups.
• Evaluate test results, generate reports and maintain documentation.
• Develop and maintain test automation solutions.
• Propose improvements for performance, standardisation and cost optimisation.
• Participate in product design reviews to align solutions with requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar validation or testing role.
• Experience in measurement technology is a plus.
• Results‑oriented, systematic, reliable and proactive.
• Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
