Supply Operations Manager (Third-Party Customer Orders)

About the role

Novartis is looking for a Supply Operations Manager in Ljubljana, Slovenia, to orchestrate complex third-party customer supply operations, from order placement through shipment and invoicing. The role works across global functions and international stakeholders to drive operational excellence and strengthen supply chain processes. It is a hybrid position; relocation support is not offered.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end operational workflow for third-party customer orders, from purchase order through shipment and invoicing.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless order execution, delivery and revenue recognition.
• Partner with global teams to enable successful operational implementation.
• Communicate delivery plans and manage changes throughout execution, ensuring timely completion of activities supporting planned shipments and customer commitments.
• Facilitate coordination between supply chain, finance, master data and site functions to resolve issues proactively.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and develop standardized execution checklists and governance practices.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Natural Sciences, Pharmacy or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage stakeholders across functions.
• Strong project management skills and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry with knowledge of supply chain, supply planning and order fulfilment.
• Desirable: experience working with commercial organisations and external pharmaceutical customers.
• Desirable: SAP expertise, including key user experience, combined with AI fluency.

• Base salary range of 32,060 to 59,540 EUR, plus a 12% annual bonus.
