Site MS&T Head – Aseptics Ljubljana (m/f/d)

About the role

Novartis is looking for a Site MS&T Head for its Ljubljana Aseptic Manufacturing site, which is being built as a global centre of excellence for launching and producing innovative aseptic medicines. You will lead a growing Manufacturing Science & Technology team, drive technical excellence, oversee technology transfers and product lifecycle stewardship, and help launch new manufacturing capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Site MS&T organisation
• Drive technical oversight and life cycle stewardship of products and manufacturing processes
• Lead technology transfers, process introductions and scale-up activities
• Own the site validation strategy
• Partner with site, platform and global leaders and champion manufacturing excellence
• Ensure inspection readiness and provide technical leadership during inspections
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and make data-driven decisions

Required profile

• MSc. degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry or another relevant scientific discipline
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in MS&T, Quality, Manufacturing or Process Development, with demonstrated technical leadership
• Strong leadership experience, including people leadership, organisational development and talent growth
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and decision-making skills
• Desirable: experience in aseptic manufacturing or biologics production, and working knowledge of Slovene

Required skills

• Functional knowledge of English
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Expected annual base salary of 53,690 to 99,710 EUR
