Senior Business Analyst / Requirements Analyst

About the role

A global technology consultancy is recruiting an experienced Senior Requirements Analyst (deployed Business Analyst) to support an international IT programme in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The role contributes to the analysis, design and improvement of business-critical IT systems in an international environment. It is a freelance B2B position with about 50% onsite work, covering 220 working days, starting in February 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering, elicitation, analysis and documentation for IT systems and software solutions.
• Develop business requirements, use cases, process models and detailed functional specifications.
• Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
• Manage requirements prioritisation, traceability, validation and change requests.
• Support business cases, feasibility studies and solution assessments.
• Coordinate with software development, architecture and QA teams.
• Develop UAT scenarios and support user acceptance testing and implementation.
• Maintain high-quality requirements documentation and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance to junior analysts and coordinate business analysis activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of professional IT experience, including 4 years specialising in requirements analysis.
• Strong experience in IT business analysis, requirements management and Business Process Modelling (BPM).
• IT-related university degree or recognised equivalent (EQF Level 6).
• Slovenian C2 (native/bilingual) and English C1 (advanced).
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment, managing complex requirements and communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Use cases, process modelling and/or data modelling.
• Knowledge of BABOK, IIBA or equivalent methodologies.
• Practical experience with requirements management and modelling tools.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and workshop facilitation skills.
