Senior Actuarial Consultant (Life Insurance)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Actuarial Consultant to join our team and support German life‑insurance clients. In this customer‑facing position you will combine deep actuarial knowledge with consulting expertise to deliver practical business solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor for insurance customers, primarily in the German market.
• Analyse actuarial and business requirements for life‑insurance products and processes.
• Support implementation and optimisation projects, translating regulatory and actuarial rules into functional specifications.
• Collaborate with actuaries, business analysts, product managers and software consultants to design effective solutions.
• Participate in workshops, requirement‑analysis sessions and solution‑design meetings.
• Assist with testing, validation and customer acceptance activities.
• Build long‑term relationships and provide consulting throughout project lifecycles.

Required profile

• Several years of professional experience in the insurance industry, preferably in actuarial consulting.
• Strong understanding of life‑insurance products, actuarial calculations and insurance processes.
• Proven experience working directly with customers and stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to explain complex actuarial topics to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Independent, structured and customer‑oriented working style.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites.
• German (professional proficiency), Slovenian (native), English (good working proficiency).
