About the role

Startup Slovenia is looking for an independent collaborator to lead the financial and administrative management of its projects. Based in Maribor, you will ensure budgets are planned, monitored and reported accurately while supporting grant applications and event activities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, track and control project budgets and costs.
• Prepare regular financial reports for partners and funding bodies.
• Maintain complete and compliant project documentation.
• Coordinate timelines, deliverables and communication with stakeholders.
• Assist in drafting grant applications, contracts and related paperwork.
• Support occasional startup ecosystem events and conferences.

Required profile

• Strong background in financial planning, budgeting and cost control, preferably in grant‑funded projects.
• Experience with administrative project management, documentation and compliance with public or EU funding rules.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management and detail‑orientation skills.
• Fluent written and spoken Slovenian; good English is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a small, mission‑driven team.
• Relevant degree in finance, economics, business administration or a related field.
