PSS Slovenia Manager

About the role

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company offering analytical testing services. As PSS Slovenia Manager, you will manage, lead and coordinate Eurofins Professional Scientific Services (PSS) teams and their on-site leaders so that teams operate at the highest quality and productivity standards, with high morale and retention, and fully meet client requirements. You will be the main operational contact for clients and a key link between senior management and peers across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Introduce new scientific service scopes of work with clients, project their implementation to steady state and monitor ongoing service excellence.
• Organise and manage PSS teams so that productivity, quality, documentation, work schedules, safety and housekeeping run efficiently.
• Keep client turn-around times agreed and consistently met, and build and manage client relationships and lines of engagement.
• Work with Business Development and Key Account Managers to pursue opportunities with existing and new clients.
• Develop, coach and motivate team members and on-site leaders, track staff morale and development and keep turnover low.
• Review and improve commercial work practices and document production, and plan ahead to meet metrics and use resources well during training periods.
• Manage recruitment, scheduling and cross-training, and ensure all team members are trained and have completed training records.
• Carry out performance appraisals, generate monthly invoice details for Finance, and ensure the PSS entity meets its financial goals.
• Handle client queries, keep work environments clean and safe, and drive continuous improvement of quality and service.
