Production Manager – Stainless Steel Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead a team of about 20 employees in a well‑established Slovenian manufacturer of stainless‑steel equipment for wine, food, chemical, pharmaceutical and other demanding industries. The role focuses on aligning people, technology and processes to support growth, new product development and continuous optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop the production team, organising daily work, priorities and capacities.
• Allocate tasks based on technical documentation and monitor productivity, quality, efficiency and targets.
• Introduce and refine KPIs, improve use of the production information system.
• Optimise processes, support new product development and participate in investment, digitalisation and equipment upgrades.

Required profile

• Mechanical engineering background with solid manufacturing experience.
• Proven team‑leadership skills and a decisive, results‑oriented style.
• Strong understanding of production processes, materials and welding; experience with stainless‑steel or sheet‑metal production is a plus.
• Knowledge of KPIs, productivity monitoring, process optimisation and ERP/production information systems.
• Ability to read technical documentation; SolidWorks knowledge is advantageous.
• Good English communication skills.
