Payroll Professional (HR / Finance / Accounting) – Remote Freelance

About the role

Prolific is seeking experienced payroll professionals to contribute to a high‑level research initiative in partnership with a leading technology company. You will complete a series of surveys that simulate real‑world payroll scenarios, helping to benchmark AI models against authentic payroll practices.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in multiple surveys covering payroll calculations, compliance, benefits administration, tax withholding, and reporting.
• Provide detailed answers based on your professional experience.
• Offer feedback on the clarity and relevance of survey questions.
• Share professional judgment on realistic payroll scenarios presented in the surveys.

Required profile

• Current involvement in payroll activities within HR, Finance, or Accounting.
• Demonstrated familiarity with payroll processes such as calculations, compliance, benefits, tax withholding, and reporting.
• Job title is flexible as long as payroll responsibilities are part of your role.

Required skills

• Experience with payroll software, HRIS systems, or automated payroll workflows (preferred but not mandatory).
