Logistics Expert (m/f/d)

About the role

Novartis is looking for a Logistics Expert in Ljubljana, Slovenia. You will act as the global point of expertise for logistics operations, overseeing material movement from manufacturing sites to the global hub and onward to customers. You will manage transportation, warehousing, international trade and compliance activities with logistics providers and internal stakeholders, helping ensure reliable supply and timely delivery of medicines worldwide. Relocation support is not offered.

Key responsibilities

• Manage global product shipments from manufacturing sites to customer delivery points and act as the main contact for direct customer shipments.
• Solve transportation issues with freight forwarders, airlines and logistics partners.
• Optimize logistics processes for service, cost and efficiency, and drive continuous improvement in logistics and quality.
• Ensure compliant product transportation and international trade activities.
• Manage relationships with external logistics service providers and monitor their performance.
• Execute logistics transactions and material movements in SAP, and prepare and maintain logistics documentation and master data.
• Work with supply chain and customer account management teams to support product availability.

Required profile

• University degree in natural or social sciences.
• Fluent English, with the ability to work with procedures and documentation in English.
• At least 3 years of experience in logistics, transportation or supply chain operations.
• Experience coordinating product transportation, freight forwarding or material movement.
• Analytical thinking, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a proactive approach to learning.

• Expected annual base salary of 22,050 to 40,950 EUR, depending on skills, competencies and experience.
