Junior Collections Specialist (English & Slovene)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Collections Specialist who is fluent in English and Slovene to join our finance team. You will manage a portfolio of overdue accounts, support customers in resolving payment issues, and help maintain strong relationships while ensuring timely cash flow.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively contact customers with past‑due invoices to secure payment.
• Negotiate and set up payment plans that suit both the customer and the company.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities, communications, and payment commitments.
• Investigate billing disputes and resolve discrepancies to facilitate payment.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service and other internal teams to improve the collections process.
• Prepare regular reports on collection status, risks and performance for management.
• Ensure all activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.

Required profile

• 0–2 years of experience in finance customer service, collections or accounts receivable.
• Solid understanding of the end‑to‑end AR process (invoicing, cash application, payment reconciliation).
• Advanced proficiency in English (B2) and Slovene (B2).
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SAP or Oracle accounting systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
