Financial Accountant

About the role

Sartorius BIA Separations d.o.o., a leading developer of monolithic chromatography columns for producing, purifying and analysing large biological molecules such as viruses and plasmid DNA, is hiring a financial accountant. You will handle full accounting, close books on time, support financial decisions through monitoring of financial information and payments, and take part in audits.

Key responsibilities

• Independently record business transactions and maintain the general and auxiliary ledgers
• Carry out month-end and year-end closing activities
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and reconcile balance sheet accounts, income statement accounts and costs
• Maintain the fixed assets register and manage inventory and materials, including stock movements and physical counts
• Monitor bank reconciliations, financial policies and regulations, and report on accounting discrepancies
• Support legal, internal and tax audits and prepare audit documentation
• Help prepare financial reports and monthly, quarterly and annual results
• Organise financial data and documents and coordinate with local and global finance teams, especially in operations control or product management

Required profile

• University degree in a relevant field
• At least 3 years of work experience
• Carefulness, responsibility, accuracy and timely action
• Willingness to work independently and in a team, and to undergo training
• Active knowledge of English

Required skills

• Knowledge of the SAP programme
• Accounting and bookkeeping
