Customs Compliance Manager

About the role

As a Customs Compliance Manager within Hisense Europe’s global Supply Chain Management organization, you will ensure that all import and export activities meet international trade laws, customs regulations, and security standards. You will collaborate with Legal, Tax, Logistics, Finance and other stakeholders to design secure, efficient customs processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage the global customs and trade compliance strategy.
• Serve as the primary contact for customs authorities, external service providers and internal teams.
• Lead CBAM compliance activities, interpret legislation and submit quarterly reports to the EU CBAM Transitional Registry.
• Oversee classification, valuation and origin determination for customs purposes.
• Manage the trade compliance team and coordinate with regional customs experts.
• Monitor worldwide regulatory changes, assess risks and drive proactive actions.
• Design and deliver training, audits and awareness programs to strengthen compliance culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Legal, Economics, Public Policy, Law, Business or related field.
• In‑depth knowledge of international trade laws, customs procedures and trade agreements.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills in English.
• Experience managing global or regional trade compliance programs is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams.
• Experience using customs/ERP systems such as SAP.
