Managing Director – 3PL Logistics

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Managing Director to lead our 3PL logistics company in Ljubljana. This senior role combines strategic vision, operational excellence, and commercial acumen to drive growth and enhance service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all operational aspects of the 3PL business.
• Set and achieve business, financial, and operational targets.
• Develop and execute the company’s long‑term strategy.
• Identify and launch new logistics services and growth opportunities.
• Optimize warehousing and transportation processes for efficiency.
• Motivate and develop large, cross‑functional teams.
• Maintain and expand relationships with key domestic and international clients.
• Drive new business acquisition and portfolio expansion.
• Monitor costs, revenue, profitability, and KPIs.
• Support digital transformation and implementation of innovative logistics solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years in senior leadership or director‑level roles within logistics, 3PL, warehousing, or transportation.
• Strong knowledge of logistics and warehousing operations.
• Proven ability to lead large teams and manage complex operations.
• Solid business acumen with a clear understanding of financial indicators.
• Experience managing key accounts and long‑term client relationships.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a results‑driven approach.
• Strategic thinking combined with effective operational decision‑making.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Professional proficiency in English.
