Commercialist / Sales Manager – Coatings, Adhesives & Buildings

About the role

HSH Chemie is seeking a Commercialist / Sales Manager to lead the distribution of chemical raw materials for the coatings, adhesives and building sectors in Slovenia. The role combines commercial development with technical support, aiming to grow market share and expand the product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage supplier and client relationships in the coatings, adhesives and building segments through regular commercial and technical contact.
• Identify new market opportunities, monitor trends and propose new raw‑material applications and sales prospects.
• Set targets for business development, design and execute strategies for profitable growth, and broaden the product range.
• Challenge the status‑quo, generate innovative business ideas and collaborate with sales teams across Central and Eastern Europe.
• Travel regularly within Slovenia and occasionally to other regional offices to support joint initiatives.

Required profile

• Academic background in chemical engineering, building engineering, commercial studies with technical focus or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience with chemical raw materials in the coatings, adhesives or construction sectors, either in a technical or sales capacity.
• Strong customer‑orientation, high initiative, reliability and the ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships.
• Analytical, entrepreneurial mindset with a structured and independent working style.
• Fluent written and spoken Slovene and English, with solid negotiation skills.
