Collection Specialist – French (Europe)

About the role

Stolt‑Nielsen Limited is seeking a French‑speaking Collection Specialist to manage the collection of outstanding invoices for European customers. You will ensure accurate account records, resolve payment issues promptly, and support the finance function with reporting and compliance tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively contact customers by phone and email to follow up on past‑due accounts.
• Validate open balances against remittances, credit memos and internal records to resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with finance, commercial and other internal teams, as well as customers, to resolve complex account issues.
• Track dispute status using the dedicated collections tool and maintain up‑to‑date notes and account statuses.
• Generate and review aging reports, highlight high‑risk accounts and support credit‑limit reviews.
• Provide documentation for audit preparation and assist with ad‑hoc receivables‑related tasks.

Required profile

• Experience in collections, accounts receivable or related finance functions.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and customers.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Experience using credit collection tools and dedicated collections platforms.
