Technical Consultant - IBM Software

About the role

TD SYNNEX, a global technology distributor operating in over 100 countries, is looking for a Technical Presales Specialist to support the growth of IBM's software solutions in Slovenia. You will act as the technical expert for partners and customers, turning their business needs into well-designed technical solutions and helping IBM technologies spread across the partner ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Be the go-to technical expert for IBM software within the TD SYNNEX partner landscape.
• Help partners design solutions, create Bills of Materials and outline technical architectures.
• Deliver technical presentations, demos, workshops and enablement sessions to partners and customers.
• Join partner and customer meetings to give technical guidance during the presales cycle.
• Turn customer pain points into IBM Software use cases and Proofs of Concept (PoCs).
• Build technical relationships with IBM's local and regional teams on updates, licensing and programs.
• Share IBM promotions, product changes and technical information with partners and internal teams.
• Answer technical questions quickly and manage resolver tasks, and support the Business Solution Centre in partner engagement.
• Keep expanding knowledge of IBM technologies and competitive platforms.

Required profile

• 3-5+ years of experience in IBM software, cloud, data or technical presales roles.
• Familiarity with IBM Software concepts and awareness of competitive ecosystems.
• Ability to understand partner and customer needs and turn them into technical solutions.
• Fluent Slovenian and English.
• Proactive, structured and organised, able to handle several requests at once.
• Experience in vendor, distributor, partner or integrator environments is a plus.
