Staff Computer Vision Engineer

About the role

Sportradar, a sports technology company at the intersection of sports, media and betting, is looking for a Staff Computer Vision Engineer to join its Automated Content team. The team works on deep-data extracted from sports videos, covering topics such as player and ball tracking, segmentation, re-identification, 3D localization and event detection. The engineer will research, design, implement, compare, integrate and optimize CV solutions, while sharing knowledge with colleagues spread across several European countries.

Key responsibilities

• Research, design, implement, compare, integrate and optimize state-of-the-art CV/ML algorithms for current and upcoming products
• Use CV/ML to automate and simplify the day-to-day work of manual operators
• Share knowledge within the team across multiple European countries
• Keep up to date with the latest CV methods and find solutions that balance accuracy with real-time constraints
• Integrate research into real-world products and write clean, scalable, optimized, documented and understandable code
• Take part in code reviews and build reusable code libraries when needed

Required profile

• At least 6 years of professional experience in Computer Vision and Machine Learning (multi-object tracking, segmentation, event detection, 3D estimation, projective geometry, image processing, model evaluation)
• 5+ years of experience developing or using deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts
• Autonomous, rigorous, team player with strong organization and problem-solving skills

Required skills

• Expert Python programming and basic software engineering skills (design patterns, SOLID)
• Experience in AWS environments
• Agile, Git, code review and AI-assisted development tools

The company operates on a fully on-site model, with team members working in the office five days a week.
