Site Manager - Industrial Crane Installations

About the role

Konecranes is looking for a Site Manager to oversee on-site execution of Industrial Equipment and Service projects across Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia. Projects include bridge and jib cranes, monorails, hoists, retrofits and smart crane missions. The role leads site operations, coordinates resources and supervises the team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of crane installations, from start-up to commissioning and handover.
• Lead site operations, attend kick-off meetings and coordinate materials, mobile cranes and platforms in line with project plans and safety standards.
• Supervise technicians and subcontractors, conduct site audits and ensure performance and compliance.
• Enforce HSE protocols, carry out risk assessments and communicate with clients, resolving issues and managing claims.
• Maintain site records, progress reports and incident logs, support claim handling and EQU responsibilities.
• Support installation tasks directly when workload allows.

Required profile

• Technical education in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial crane installation or similar heavy equipment projects.
• Strong leadership, organisational skills and flexibility.
• Familiarity with smart crane technologies and retrofit/modernisation processes.
• Fluent English; Croatian native speaker.
• Willingness to travel across Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia.
• Valid Group B driving licence.
