Senior Technical Trainer - AI / DevOps

About the role

A partner company is looking for a Senior Technical Trainer based in Slovenia to teach practical, hands-on courses on AI-powered engineering workflows. The trainer helps engineers apply AI agents, coding assistants and modern AI tools to real infrastructure and automation challenges. The role is remote and freelance, starting with a paid course project of about three months, with possible ongoing projects or a full-time position later.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop technical courses, working with the curriculum team on structure, learning objectives, lesson sequences and practical lab exercises
• Create video scripts and narrate lessons in English, keeping them clear and engaging
• Develop detailed specifications for hands-on labs, test them and record demonstrations
• Work with production teams on editorial feedback and quality, while they handle video editing, animation, lab infrastructure and publishing

Required profile

• Hands-on DevOps and infrastructure experience, with a proven passion for teaching
• Experience using AI tools in engineering work, including AI agents, coding assistants and LLM-based automation
• Excellent written and spoken English, able to speak confidently on camera
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and collaborate remotely with a distributed team

Required skills

• Linux, containers, Kubernetes, at least one major cloud platform, CI/CD and infrastructure as code
• Building, operating and maintaining infrastructure, not just theory
• Advantage: online courses on Udemy or Pluralsight, conference talks, community roles (e.g. CNCF Ambassador, AWS Community Builder, Microsoft MVP) or cloud certifications (AWS, Azure)
