About the role
The Senior Robotics Specialist defines and drives the robotics strategy for the site, shaping the portfolio and roadmap across manufacturing, laboratories, warehouses, and support operations. Working without direct reports, the role coordinates internal experts and external partners to deliver standardized, compliant, and scalable robotics solutions that generate measurable business value.
Key responsibilities
- Own the site robotics strategy and maintain a prioritized roadmap aligned with business needs, enterprise standards, and technology maturity.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize robotics use‑cases across all functional areas.
- Lead initiatives from concept, feasibility, pilot, to validated deployment, operational handover, and lifecycle support.
- Define and harmonize User Requirement Specifications, reference architectures, technical standards, deployment frameworks, and the robotics catalog.
- Evaluate robotics technologies and vendors (AMR/AGV, cobots, machine vision, automated inspection, autonomous systems, physical AI) for fit, compliance, scalability, cost, and business value.
- Act as subject‑matter expert advising IT/OT and site leadership on solution architecture, integration risks, and investment priorities.
- Ensure compliance with GxP, validation, data integrity, quality, safety, OT cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.
- Build business cases, track benefits, manage portfolio and budget, and report on delivery, adoption, risks, and realized value.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, Computer Science, IT, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial robotics, automation, manufacturing engineering, advanced manufacturing technology, or IT/OT.
- Proven track record delivering robotics or advanced automation solutions from concept through production deployment.
- Experience defining URSs, technical standards, solution architectures, and vendor evaluation criteria.
