About the role
As an Automation Engineer you will lead automation projects within dedicated engineering project groups on investment projects, ensuring efficient integration of production equipment with IT and OT systems and a reliable flow of data from the shop floor to enterprise level. You will collaborate closely with project managers and area leads to meet functionality, GMP and HSE requirements within the approved scope, budget and timeline.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in creating Process Automation User Requirement Specifications (URS) and translate them into detailed technical solutions.
- Define or support the development of the site’s automation strategy.
- Support vendors in identifying and defining appropriate technical solutions according to URS.
- Prepare project documentation, including design documents, configuration guides, commissioning and qualification files.
- Organise and lead the Design Qualification (DQ) process for assigned systems, units or equipment.
- Install, configure and commission discipline components in line with design documentation, ensuring safety and compliance.
- Execute and monitor project deliverables, reporting on progress, timeline and costs.
- Ensure vendor compliance with predefined requirements and actively contribute to work sessions.
Required profile
- Degree in Electrical/Automation engineering (Dipl. Ing., M.Sc., B.Sc.) or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in engineering or operations roles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in English and proficient in the local language.

- Permanent contract with a 6‑month probation period, 40 hours per week.
- Salary range: €32,400 – €73,080 per year, depending on experience.
