Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

DevRev builds Computer, an AI teammate that unifies data sources, tools and workflows into a single AI-ready platform, extending existing software with AI-native apps and agents. The Forward Deployed Engineering team designs and builds solutions that give customers the best experience, handling complex integrations with enterprise systems, workflow automation and custom platform enhancements. As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer you will lead the design, development and implementation of high-impact AI-driven solutions, integrations and automations, collaborating with customers and internal teams, mentoring junior engineers and influencing technical strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and implementation of integrations, automations and customizations across DevRev and customers' workflows.
• Use advanced AI techniques, including Generative AI, prompt engineering and semantic search fine-tuning, to solve complex customer problems.
• Analyze data, write advanced SQL queries and build dashboards to support strategic decisions.
• Manage communication and feedback loops with customers, engineering, product and customer success teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge within the team.
• Explore and adopt new technologies to improve platform capabilities and customer solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Software Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven ability to design scalable, maintainable and customer-focused solutions.
• Excellent written and spoken English; results-oriented and comfortable in a fast-paced, global environment.

Required skills

• Hands-on coding in TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, APIs, webhooks and SQL.
• Generative AI, LLMs, vector databases and data embeddings.
• Nice to have: Golang, NodeJS or other backend technologies, and prior customer-facing solution engineering or consulting experience.
