Senior Credit Risk Analyst

About the role

Deel, an all-in-one payroll and HR platform for global teams, is hiring a Senior Credit Risk Analyst. You will own the full credit risk lifecycle, from acquisition and underwriting through portfolio monitoring and collections, helping the company scale globally while building sustainable, trust-based relationships with its customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead credit assessments and underwriting decisions on new customers and portfolio risk, turning financial analysis and market signals into clear acquisition recommendations
• Build and maintain monitoring models and dashboards that surface portfolio trends, detect early warnings and support proactive risk management across customer segments
• Partner with Sales, Customer Success and Finance to balance growth with prudent risk, giving clear rationale for approvals, exceptions and escalations
• Develop automation and tooling, including data pipelines, scoring models and AI-powered workflows
• Analyse large datasets to find patterns, risks and opportunities, and share findings with cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership

Required profile

• 4-5 years in credit risk, credit underwriting, credit analytics or similar roles at a financial services, fintech or lending organisation
• Proactive self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and owns their work
• Ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial audiences
• Experience building or automating processes that scaled with the business
• Experience in a startup or high-growth environment is a plus

Required skills

• Data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, Excel and Tableau
• Hands-on experience building with AI tools or implementing AI workflows
