Product Sales Support Specialist (Freelance)

About the role

VWR, part of Avantor, is looking for a Product Sales Support Specialist based in Slovenia to join its international team. The role provides general technical and commercial support to external and internal customers, including field product specialists, sales managers and colleagues, and answers technical questions about products and their applications. It is a full-time, remote position carried out from a home office in Slovenia.

The position is offered exclusively on a freelance/independent contractor basis under a service agreement; this is the only contract type available.

Key responsibilities

• Provide product support to customers and colleagues.
• Prepare, coordinate and follow up on quotations.
• Sell the assigned product portfolio and cross-sell products from other lines.
• Manage customer complaints according to established procedures.
• Send samples, quotations and tender documentation on request.
• Order, record and track demonstration equipment, and distribute brochures and catalogs.
• Update product information in the ERP system and monitor the product portfolio using Qlik View.
• Collaborate with local, regional and European colleagues in the assigned product area.

Required profile

• Fluent business-level English and Slovenian are mandatory.
• Bachelor's degree or higher; a degree in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering or strong knowledge of laboratory products is preferred.
• Previous experience in sales, product support or a related customer-facing role is required; experience in the biopharmaceutical or laboratory environment is an advantage.
• Personal and soft skills: strong customer focus, excellent communication, accountability, eagerness to learn, creativity and strong problem-solving abilities.

Required skills

• Mandatory previous experience with SAP.
• Advantageous: other ERP or CRM systems.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
