Market Curation Editor (Sports)

About the role

The Market Curation Editor (Sports) ensures the quality and reliability of sports prediction markets for a social‑predictions platform. Based in Slovenia, you will act as the human quality layer behind an automated system, reviewing and refining markets before they go live.

Key responsibilities

• Review daily queues of system‑generated sports markets and meet fixed completion deadlines.
• Validate markets for factual accuracy, clarity, completeness, and objective adjudication using authoritative sources.
• Verify opening and closing times, accounting for schedule changes, delays, or postponements.
• Apply league‑specific settlement conventions such as overtime, shootouts, and minimum‑play requirements.
• Assess markets against community standards and content policies, escalating ambiguous cases.
• Approve, edit, or reject markets and document structured reasons for each decision.
• Rewrite prediction questions and resolution language for precision and fan‑friendly tone.
• Create timestamped clarifications during live events and resolve exceptions not handled by automated feeds.
• Monitor live markets for errors, track schedules, team news, and breaking developments to proactively fill gaps.
• Participate in calibration reviews to maintain editorial consistency.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in sports trading, sports data operations, sports journalism, or a comparable role requiring current sports expertise.
• Deep, up‑to‑date knowledge of professional and collegiate sports, official rules, and settlement conventions.
• Ability to make time‑sensitive decisions during live events and ensure objective resolution criteria.
• Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail.
