Manufacturing Technologist – Machine Building

About the role

We are seeking a Manufacturing Technologist to join a growing Slovenian machine‑building company. The role involves defining and optimizing manufacturing technologies for parts, assemblies and complete machines, while supporting production teams in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Independently define manufacturing technologies for components and complete equipment.
• Prepare manufacturing procedures, technical calculations and coordinate material procurement.
• Decide on in‑house versus outsourced production and monitor external suppliers.
• Plan and optimise processes such as laser cutting, bending, milling, turning, welding and assembly.
• Provide technical support and training to production staff.
• Inspect finished parts, assemblies and projects, ensuring quality documentation.
• Participate in product development, process improvements and implementation of new manufacturing methods.

Required profile

• Completed secondary technical education in Mechanical Engineering (minimum level 5 qualification).
• At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing technology or production processes, preferably in machine building.
• Strong knowledge of machining, welding and assembly processes.
• Ability to manage deadlines, plan projects and work independently.
• Category B driving licence.
