Lead iOS Engineer (Platform‑focused)

About the role

AgileEngine is seeking a Lead iOS Engineer to join a platform‑focused team. You will contribute hands‑on to iOS development while raising the technical bar across architecture, quality practices, and AI‑assisted delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high‑quality iOS platform capabilities for consumer‑facing experiences.
• Define and evolve MVVM‑based, modular iOS architecture using modern best practices.
• Integrate third‑party SDKs and cloud‑connected platform services.
• Work across networking layers, API integrations, and backend‑connected mobile features.
• Support Cloud Code implementation and integration where applicable.
• Own end‑to‑end iOS work and provide technical guidance through code reviews, pairing, and architecture discussions.
• Define and implement testing strategies that improve release confidence while balancing maintainability and speed.
• Apply AI‑assisted engineering practices to improve delivery, code quality, debugging, refactoring, documentation, and tooling.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders, surface risks early, and keep progress visible across time zones.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional iOS development experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Swift and modern Swift Concurrency (async/await, Actors, structured concurrency) in production.
• Proven track record of building and shipping production iOS applications at scale.
• Deep knowledge of MVVM and modern architectures such as TCA or Clean Architecture.
• Experience leading technical discussions, driving architecture decisions, and influencing engineering best practices.
• Solid understanding of networking, API integration, error handling, and mobile‑backend interaction patterns.
