Lead Full-Stack Engineer

About the role

MeetMinded is a fast-growing Slovenian startup that organises local meetups in cities across the US, UK, Canada and beyond. It is looking for a Lead Full-Stack Engineer who will own the product end-to-end: what gets built, how it is architected and what gets cut. The team is AI-first, expects native use of AI coding tools such as Cursor or Claude Code, and works on-site in the Ljubljana city centre office with an international team; English is the first office language.

Key responsibilities

• Core product and backend: build and scale systems serving 100k+ users, maintain and upgrade a custom CRM, improve matching logic and compatibility scoring, implement localization and multi-language infrastructure, and keep deployment pipelines and staging environments clean.
• Marketing and analytics: build and optimise landing pages and checkout flows, own web funnels, upsells and conversion paths, maintain attribution and analytics, automate reporting pipelines and alerts, and adopt best-in-class tools.
• Internal tools: build dashboards for Ops and CX, and systems for reservations, capacity and venue availability.
• Mobile app: develop core features (chat, referrals, notifications), implement gamification and engagement loops, and own subscription flows.
• AI agents and automations: build AI agents to automate support, ops and growth workflows, use AI for summarization, matchmaking and churn insights, and automate venue sourcing, support tickets and call centre workflows.

Required profile

• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience building web applications and mobile apps, including at least one working web app with significant traffic.
• Must be fluent in using AI-assisted programming and able to use and implement the latest AI tools.
• Comfortable working in ambiguity, adapting to change and wearing multiple hats, with attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Willingness to work hybrid from the Ljubljana office and help co-create a high-performing team culture.
• Bonus points: previous startup experience (especially early-stage), experience building teams from scratch, and being based close to Ljubljana or willing to move there.
