Key Account Manager – Neurology & Ophthalmology

About the role

AbbVie is seeking a Key Account Manager to lead brand strategy and sales execution across the Neurology and Ophthalmology therapeutic areas. The role covers a nationwide territory, focusing on building strong relationships with key accounts, understanding stakeholder needs, and placing the patient at the centre of all activities while adhering to AbbVie’s code of conduct and relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and analyse key account needs, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
• Develop and maintain trusted, strategic relationships with stakeholders to anticipate access barriers.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to create win‑win partnerships and influence contracting and tendering opportunities.
• Produce detailed customer profile analyses and adjust engagement strategies accordingly.
• Design and formalise Key Account Plans (KAP) that deliver value for both AbbVie and the account.
• Work across multiple channels, tailoring content and medical discussion topics to evolving customer needs.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets and marketing objectives.
• Maintain prescribed call frequencies and professional visit numbers.
• Provide field insights and observations to broader teams.
• Participate in trainings, meetings and other work‑related events.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in a science or applied science discipline.
• Proven track record of success in sales.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written) and strong command of the local language.
