Head of People & Performance

About the role

Sunrise Robotics is looking for its first Head of People & Performance to lead all people‑related functions across more than ten European countries. Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the leadership team, you will design and own the performance, compensation, hiring and people‑operations systems that enable rapid scaling.

Key responsibilities

• Design and run the company‑wide performance cycle, providing clear, actionable feedback for all leaders.
• Build the employee experience from onboarding to off‑boarding, including contracts, HRIS, payroll inputs and benefits administration.
• Develop compensation bands, equity top‑ups and standardized pay awards aligned with current roles.
• Own the end‑to‑end hiring process, creating scorecards, interview packs and partnering with internal recruiters.
• Automate transactional people‑ops work and maintain compliance across more than ten jurisdictions.
• Coach leaders and team leads on expectations, feedback, and difficult conversations.
• Translate the founders’ cultural vision into concrete hiring, review and reward practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience building a people system in a fast‑growing company (Series A‑scale or larger).
• Systems thinker who can design flexible processes that survive rapid scaling.
• Comfortable working with numbers, compensation plans and headcount modelling.
• Hands‑on experience managing HR across multiple countries and jurisdictions.
• Detail‑oriented writer who produces concise, high‑signal documentation.
• Trusted confidant who can push back on founders and act with integrity.
• Curious about robotics and deep‑tech environments and able to understand technical roles.
