EH&S Specialist – Environmental Health & Safety

About the role

We are looking for an EH&S Specialist to join our Podnart site and ensure full compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations. You will help create a structured, safe and sustainable workplace that meets both local legislation and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations through risk assessments, safety inspections and employee training.
• Manage chemical safety, including hazardous substance records, Safety Data Sheet (SDS) monitoring and chemical risk assessments.
• Organise workplace and biomonitoring activities and guarantee the availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety‑critical tools.
• Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance, participate in internal audits and follow up on corrective actions.
• Contribute to major accident prevention, emergency preparedness and environmental legislation monitoring.
• Collaborate with internal teams and global EHS initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an EHS or similar role.
• Fluent in Slovenian and good command of English.
• High reliability, accuracy and responsibility.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities; team‑oriented and proactive.
