Director, Technical Project Portfolio Management

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Director to lead complex biosimilar development programs from early research through delivery. In this high‑visibility position you will shape integrated technical strategies, guide cross‑functional Technical Project Teams, and ensure alignment across internal stakeholders, governance bodies, and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead one or more biosimilar development programs, defining and executing integrated technical strategies.
• Coordinate Technical Project Teams, aligning internal functions and external CDMOs around priorities, risks, and delivery commitments.
• Serve as the primary technical interface across project teams, CMC line functions, governance boards, and external partners.
• Manage CMC risk, implement mitigations, and report risk status.
• Own resources, external costs, and timelines, ensuring accountability for cost, capacity, and delivery.
• Adapt quickly to project changes while maintaining focus on milestones.
• Take full accountability for team outcomes, championing successes and addressing failures.
• Conduct technical due‑diligence activities as needed.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in life sciences, engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of drug development experience, preferably in biosimilars or biologics.
• Proven project leadership and stakeholder management in a global environment.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to perform under pressure and engage senior management.

Required skills

• CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) expertise.
• Biosimilar cell line and process development.
• Antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) development (a plus).
• Project and risk management.
