Data Scientist

About the role

Soniox is building a real‑time AI platform that understands human conversation across languages and environments. As a Data Scientist you will help shape how data drives decisions for core products such as speech recognition, translation, enterprise APIs, and voice command systems.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with product and engineering teams to define success metrics and clarify experiments, feature launches, and product iterations.
• Design, run, and interpret A/B tests measuring model performance, user experience, and pricing impacts.
• Create reliable, self‑serve dashboards and reporting tools for fast, data‑informed decisions.
• Build models and forecasts to guide product planning, customer segmentation, and growth initiatives.
• Introduce best practices for experimental design, causal inference, and product analytics.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in data science or analytics, preferably in a high‑growth product or AI‑focused company.
• Strong ability to define new metrics, launch dashboards, and deliver insights that directly influence product decisions.
• Comfortable working with raw data and presenting findings to cross‑functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and leadership.
• Thrives in fast‑moving environments with a high degree of autonomy.

Required skills

• Fluent in SQL.
• Proficient in Python, including Pandas, NumPy, and statsmodels (or similar libraries).
• Experience with experimental design, causal analysis, and A/B testing.
• Ability to build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools.
