Chief of Staff – Executive Partner to CEO

About the role

Sunrise Robotics is seeking a Chief of Staff to act as the CEO’s closest execution partner. You will sit in the same rooms as the CEO, represent him where he cannot be, and ensure rapid execution of cross‑team decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Run the operating cadence, own quarterly planning, company goals and weekly leadership meetings, tracking metrics and commitments.
• Drive cross‑functional execution by taking ownership of decisions that span multiple teams, holding owners accountable and escalating early.
• Translate every leadership decision into clear, written communication delivered within a day, drafting all‑hands decks and memos in the CEO’s voice.
• Build and manage the operating system – morning briefs, commitment tracking, meeting‑to‑action pipelines, and board reporting.
• Make the company legible by documenting decisions, processes and playbooks for easy access.
• Take on special projects with CEO‑level urgency, delivering completed work or clear ownership paths.

Required profile

• High‑energy, intense pace and impatience for stalled decisions.
• Experience in fast‑changing, venture‑backed companies (4‑8 years) with a track record of keeping teams executing through shifting plans.
• Proven ability to build lasting systems and think in terms of second‑order effects.
• Strong technical fluency, comfortable with spreadsheets, databases and data‑driven discussions.
• AI‑native mindset with experience building autonomous agents or automations.
• Excellent written communication, able to craft concise memos and visual data representations.
• Trusted with confidential information and capable of pushing back with fact‑based arguments.
