Certified Architect – Construction & Engineering Projects

About the role

A construction, engineering and architectural contracting firm in the Savinja region of Slovenia, with a portfolio of industrial, commercial and residential developments, is hiring an experienced architect (certified or pursuing certification). You will drive end-to-end design execution and technical oversight, acting as a bridge between investors, engineering partners and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, detail and prepare complete architectural solutions from concept through construction documentation.
• Coordinate architectural requirements with structural engineers, MEP consultants, other designers and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with Slovenian spatial planning legislation, building codes, technical standards and municipal requirements.
• Work with investors and clients to turn their needs into feasible architectural solutions.
• Monitor design fidelity, material selection and technical consistency, and support the resolution of technical issues.
• Sign off on architectural drawings within the scope of your licensure, or work toward certification with full company backing.

Required profile

• University degree in architecture (B.Sc. / M.Sc. or equivalent).
• Active professional authorization (Certified Architect / Odgovorni projektant) with ZAPS, or the qualifications and experience needed to obtain it; the employer sponsors the license if you are not yet certified.
• Proven background in architectural design, project documentation and engineering coordination across commercial, industrial or residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of Slovenian spatial and building legislation (GZ-1, ZUREP-3).

Required skills

• Proficiency in modern CAD/BIM tools such as ArchiCAD and Revit.
• Excellent organization, analysis and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
