Associate Director, Solution Architecture – Robotics

About the role

The Associate Director Solution Architecture will own the end‑to‑end robotics technology strategy for shared Work Centres across all manufacturing platforms. Based in Ljubljana, the role bridges emerging robotics technologies with site needs, moving solutions from market scan to shop‑floor implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and steer the robotics technology strategy for shared Work Centres, continuously updating it based on market, supplier and technology developments.
• Set common standards and coordinate requirements across multiple platforms, ensuring consistent global implementation.
• Maintain global user requirement specifications (URS) and technology roadmaps for shared Work Centres.
• Translate identified technologies into standardized, site‑ready packages, delivering feasible solutions rather than mere recommendations.
• Manage and keep up‑to‑date the robotics catalogue, including availability, readiness, ownership and technical details.
• Lead technology and market research in advanced areas such as computer vision, automated inspection and Physical AI, closing current capability gaps.
• Evaluate supplier performance and collaborate with procurement to select and manage approved vendors.
• Ensure alignment with production sites, pilot testing, rollout and feedback integration into future development plans.
• Report regularly to the Robotics Steering Committee and support monthly technical alignment.

Required profile

• University or master’s degree in robotics, mechatronics, automation or a related engineering discipline.
