Software Developer – Data Systems

About the role

Celtra is looking for a Software Developer, Data to join its product engineering team. The role focuses on building product‑facing data systems and features end‑to‑end, from data modeling to pipelines, backend services, and user‑facing experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Own and build product features across data pipelines, backend services, and frontend components, taking them through to production.
• Understand data sources and design clear, maintainable, reusable data models.
• Build and improve data pipelines and infrastructure, covering ingestion, transformation, orchestration, reliability, and production operation.
• Develop analytical APIs, services, and frontend experiences that expose data to products and users.
• Collaborate with product stakeholders, clients, and vendors to translate needs into technical solutions.
• Contribute to the evolution of the data platform, including data quality, governance, observability, and AI‑powered capabilities.

Required profile

• Strong SQL and data‑modeling skills with experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and layered transformation patterns.
• Solid software‑engineering fundamentals and experience operating production systems and backend services.
• Good understanding of automated testing, CI/CD, and production observability practices.
• Ability to independently own and deliver moderately complex engineering work from problem definition to production operation.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
