Senior Computer Vision Engineer

About the role

Sportradar, a sports technology company at the intersection of sports, media and betting, is looking for a Senior Computer Vision Engineer to join its Automated Content team. The team works on research and development in computer vision, machine learning, deep learning and data science, aiming to automate the creation of sports data and video. The engineer will research, design, implement, compare, integrate and optimise CV solutions to turn sports data into value for broadcasters, fans and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Research, design, implement, compare, integrate and optimise state-of-the-art CV/ML algorithms for existing and upcoming products
• Use CV/ML to automate and simplify the day-to-day work of manual operators
• Share knowledge within the team, which includes experts based in several European countries
• Keep up to date with CV methods and find solutions that balance accuracy with real-time constraints
• Integrate research into real-world products and write clean, scalable, documented code
• Take part in code reviews and build reusable code libraries when needed

Required profile

• At least 3 years of professional experience in computer vision and machine learning (multi-object tracking, segmentation, event detection, 3D estimation, projective geometry, image processing, model evaluation)
• 2+ years of experience developing or using deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Excellent English and the ability to explain complex technical concepts
• Comfortable with agile development, Git and code review
• Autonomous, rigorous, creative and team-oriented

Required skills

• Expert Python and its data-science libraries
• Basic software engineering skills (design patterns, SOLID)
• Deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)

The company operates on a fully on-site model, with team members working in the office five days a week.
